Troubleshooting: license errors

"Your Sauvrn license is invalid"

The most common cause is a token that's expired or was revoked. Reconnecting is done in the Sauvrn web app, not in the extension: open your dashboard and click Connect next to Retrace. The web app will issue a fresh token.

If reconnecting fails with the same error, the underlying license itself may be in trouble — see the next section.

"Your Sauvrn license was revoked"

This appears when an admin in your workspace has manually revoked the license. The most common reasons:

  • The workspace owner ended the subscription.
  • A security event triggered a revocation.

If you weren't expecting it, email your workspace owner — or support@sauvrn.ai if you're the owner.

"This device was disconnected"

This is the token-level form of revocation. Only this device's token was revoked; the workspace license is still active. Click Connect in the web app's dashboard to mint a fresh token for this device. A revoked token cannot be reused, so the browser profile it was revoked on will need to reconnect. Minting the new token does not by itself revoke any other token you hold.

I see the wrong workspace name in the extension

You may belong to more than one Sauvrn workspace. There is no workspace picker in the extension — it uses whichever workspace was active when its token was minted. Switch in the Sauvrn web app instead: pick the workspace from the Workspace selector in the dashboard's left sidebar, then click Connect to mint a token for that workspace's license.

Nothing here matches my error

Please use the Send feedback form inside the extension, and tick the diagnostic boxes — they help us debug, and the form shows you what they will send before it sends it. Or email support@sauvrn.ai with the error text.
